Alfimed AS acquires Orteo AB

Alfimed AS and Orteo AB have agreed on the terms of an acquisition of Orteo AB in Sweden. The acquisition was conducted on 1 April 2023. Orteo AB will now continue its business as Alfimed AB.

-Over the past few years, we have significantly expanded our business, enhancing our reputation as an expert in delivering prosthetic components to the Norwegian market. In addition, we have become a strategic distributor partner for world-recognized brands, says Geir Finnerud, CEO of Alfimed AS.

To continue the growth strategy for the future, Alfimed has sought a new partner who is aligned with the company’s values of care, integrity, and flexibility. -In Orteo, we found an experienced, patient-focused, and responsive distributor of orthopaedic aids with a strong position in the Scandinavian market, Geir Finnerud continues.

On 1 April, Alfimed acquired 51 % of Orteo AB in Sweden. We are confident that this will contribute to the company’s long-term development and are excited about the opportunities this new relationship will bring. Mikael Eriksson, CEO of Orteo AB, will continue as the new CEO of Alfimed AB.
